The first Grammy nomination for Luciana, Brazilian Duos was a ground breaking record for the singer. Featuring Romero Lubambo, Marco Pereira, and Luciana's father, Walter Santos. The recording was named one of the top 10 Jazz records of the year by the New York Times, which said, "Ms. Souza has a finely calibrated, sensible alto voice, and these are exquisite rearrangements."
